The Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIAB)
The IIAB is an affiliate of the US-based IIA Inc, a global organization with more than 180,000+ professional members in 170+ countries dedicated to advancing the practice of internal auditing and strengthening good corporate governance.
IIAB started its journey in 2004 and received formal recognition from the IIA headquarters in 2005. Since then, IIAB has been working to promote the internal audit profession in Bangladesh in line with global IIA standards.
Beyond promoting internal audit, IIAB is committed to contributing to the development of corporate governance, transparency, and accountability across organizations in the country, helping boards and management strengthen their risk management, control, and assurance frameworks.
Today, IIAB’s membership base consists of nearly 413 professionals from the corporate arena of Bangladesh, representing FMCG, telecom, NGOs, banking, and practicing professionals. Membership continues to grow steadily as more organizations recognize the value of strong internal audit functions.
