The Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIAB)
TThe Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIAB) is a professional institute domiciled in Bangladesh, with its office located at House No. 87–89 (5th Floor), Suite E1, Road 04, Block B, Niketon, Gulshan, Dhaka-1212.
IIAB began its journey in 2004 and received formal recognition from The Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc. (IIA), USA in 2005. Today, IIAB operates as an authorized Chapter of IIA, supporting the growth and advancement of the internal audit profession in Bangladesh.
To strengthen its institutional foundation, IIAB obtained a license from the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh on 10 January 2016, and a Certificate of Incorporation from the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Firms (RJSC), Bangladesh on 06 March 2016.
IIAB currently has a membership base of 409 professionals, largely from the corporate sector, representing a wide range of industries including FMCG, telecom, NGOs, banking, insurance, and other practicing professionals.

- To provide dynamic leadership for the practice of internal audit profession in Bangladesh.
- Advocating and promoting compliance of IIA values and Code of Conducts among the practitioners.
- Providing professional education and learning opportunities to members.
- Building awareness and implementation of IIA standard in corporate segment of Bangladesh.
- Acting as common platform for all internal audit professionals of the country to share information and experiences.
- Building up pool of Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) in the country to enhance professionalism in the practice of internal audit in Bangladesh.
