CPE Seminar on “Social Audit, a new area of practice”
Under the esteemed patronage of the Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIAB), an enlightening seminar on “Social Audit, a new area of practice” was hosted at our newly inaugurated premises in Niketon Housing Society (E1, House 87-89, Road 04, Block B), Gulshan on 16 September 2023.
The seminar welcomed a gathering of distinguished luminaries, all actively participating in a deep discussion on the area of Social Auditing. At the forefront of this conversation was CS Rupanjana De, a member of the Central Council and Chairperson of the Audit Committee at ICSI, India. Additionally, she serves as the Chief Editor at Internal Audit Today (IIA-India). The "Social Audit, a New Area of Practice," delved into the evolving landscape of social audit, exploring its significance in today's corporate world. The seminar emphasized the critical role of internal auditors in ensuring transparency, accountability, and social responsibility within organizations.
At the helm of the seminar, Mr. Raihan Shamsi, FCA, the former president and founder of IIAB, served as the Session Chair and Mr. Khondkar Atique E Rabbani, FCA, respected former president of IIAB as Special Guest. The seminar was well moderated by Mr. Hayat Farhad Chowdhury.
The event garnered international attention, with the presence of esteemed guests from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) which has over 70,000 members, who enriched the discourse with their invaluable perspectives.
