Nurul Alam elected secy gen of IIA Bangladesh-News Briefs (31-08-2019)
Mohammad Nurul Alam has been elected Secretary General of Institute of Internal Auditors, Bangladesh. He has over 39 years work experience in assurance functions (Internal Audit, Governance, ERM, Internal Control, Ethics and Compliance) in multinational companies. He addressed the 2018 IIA International Conference held in Dubai from 6-9 May 2018. He is a resource person of the Office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of Bangladesh (OCAG). He received Master of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Chittagong. He is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). He also received global degree of Certified Compliance and Ethics-International (CCEP-I) from Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics in 2017. He has delivered speeches in trainings/seminars organized by IIA Bangladesh, and other chamber bodies in Bangladesh. He worked as Country Ethics & Compliance Officer of VEON Ltd and as the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of its subsidiary company (a large mobile telecommunication company) in Bangladesh. CHATTOGRAM, August 30: The Special General Meeting of Regent Textile Mills Limited was held at Rima Community Centre in the port city Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Mohammed Yakub Ali. Among others Managing Director Salman Habib, Directors Engineer Md Abul Kashem, A K M Ilias, Chief of Internal Audit Compliance Sheikh Md Jane Alam, Chief Accounts Officer A K Achariya and Company Secretary M R H Sikdar addressed the meeting.
